TVS XL 50
TVS XL was the second most successful moped in the history of Indian Automobiles, after the legendary 'Luna' by Kinetic engineering which started the moped scenario in the year 1972.
TVS launched its first moped 'XL' in the year 1980, with a 50cc 2-stroke engine and still ruling the moped segment for the past 40 long years. As soon as it hit the market, it took the entire 2-wheeler industry by storm as people got to see something new in the moped segment after a long period of time, while Luna was still rolling well. Its power and built were much more than that of Luna. Also, it was so strong and endurable that it could ferry around truckloads of goods with riders. Also, it made the lives of the people in rural areas way easier than before, due to it's power, economy, load carrying capacity and a lot more.
Although it was more popular among the rural crowd, it was, and still is used in both urban and rural areas, extensively. It might not be an aesthetically great vehicle, but it certainly, is one of the most reliable 2-wheelers of all time, in almost all aspects. It's obvious that we can't speed on it or thrash it around like on superbikes, but it never fails to serve the purpose it is designed for.
